Doll Christmas stockings

Is anyone hanging up a Christmas stocking for your doll? What kind of stocking is it? How and where will you hang it?

I really, really wanted to make a little fireplace, lit with the fire that comes with the Seaside Cabana accessories but didn't have time. I bought Molly's stocking and the new Chocolate Cherry accessories for dolls so I have two doll stockings but don't know where to hang them for now.

I bought the cutest stockings from Michaels, also Treasure Island has some. I got a "traditional" red and white fuzzy stocking for Molly, because I wanted to have her doll for her, but have had no luck so far. I bought a few felt stockings in different colors for my Today girls. I have a mini-tree that I have to decorate and I might hang them beside the tree. I really wanted to build a mini-fireplace, but have had no time. Has anyone here made one?

Kirsten has one of my old socks which is green, Felicity also has one of my old socks- red with white snowflakes, Addy, Sam and Susanna have mini stockings from Michael's. They hung their stockings on their bedposts last year and Santa brought them yummy cookies (courtesy of Cherry the FIMO wizard)!

If you're thinking about making a fireplace, sometimes you can find the fake brick textured paper in the dollhouse building area of your local craft store, and I've always thought that would make a cute fireplace if put over a box!

DD made each of the dolls stockings. Since we add new ones every year, you can see a real difference in her skill over the years. They are hung on a swag going up the stairs.

Last year my mom bought me a mini stocking made of felt and she bought some for my friends at college, so this year I am taking my mini stocking and giving it to Felicity. It's on my bureau right now next to the mini tree.

I meant to pick up some stockings. Earlier in the month I passed by several bins that had the smaller-sized plush stockings for around 79 cents. I kept telling myself that I could pick them up later. But of course now I don't see them anywhere. I keep meaning to pop in to Walgreens to see if they have any left.

I was thinking of putting together a fireplace for my girls, too. I'm not sure I'm going to have time. I was going to fashion it out of a shoe box and then just draw my own bricks to cut out and paste onto the box. If I have time I may still do it.
